Description
In 1973 a United States Navy airplane ran out of fuel and crash landed on the black beach at Sólheimasandur, on the south coast Iceland, not far from Vik. Fortunately, the crew survived. The plane, however, has remained abandoned on the sand very close to the sea, and needless to say, it is a very fun and cool place to see and photograph. This black and white photo shows a detail of the fuselage.
