Description
Stuck inside during the coronavirus pandemic of 2020 and looking for photography subjects, I decided to take photos of my guitars.
This electric guitar was custom made for me by luthier Terry McInturff in 2000. Back then I was an avid guitar player and participated in several online guitar discussion groups including one for devotees of Terry's guitars. He decided to make a limited edition guitar for members of the discussion forum with several individual options for customization. This one was my final choice and the model is referred to as the Forum Guiar, or FG, because of its origin. I still love to play it and it still looks great. I photographed it in a dark room on a black background and used a technique called light painting, where I set my camera on a long exposure and used a small flashlight to light up parts of the guitar.
