The road leading to the small town of El Chalten and the base of the Fitz Roy mountain chain, in Los Glaciares National Park in the Patagonia region of Argentina. Here, Mount Fitz Roy (also known as Cerro Chalten, Cerro Fitz Roy, or Monte Fitz Roy) is the highest peak on the right side of the road, and Serro Torre is the high, pointy peak on the left side of the road.
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
