A reflection of the Carpenters Building, in an across the street office building, in downtown Washington DC. Designed by architect O. Harvey Miller, the eight-story, brick and limestone, Colonial Revival-style Carpenters Building was believed to be the country's largest building owned by a local union when constructed in 1926. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 2003.
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
