Description
Highland cattle are Scotland icons. Often called hairy coos, the breed's heritage stretches back to the days of the clans. They originated in the Highlands and Outer Hebrides islands and are mainly raised for beef. Their distinguishing features are their long horns and long, wavy, woolly coats.
I saw this cow in a pasture near Glencoe, in the Scottish highlands, and the flies would not leave this poor creature alone. At times he seemed not to care, but other times he would rub his face against a nearby fence trying to shoo the flies away. I no time at all, though, they returned. I suppose that's just part of the life of being a highland cow.
I used a Fuji XT-2 camera for this photo, and processed it in Luminar 3. If you like photo processing and the look of my photos, you can try Luminar by copying and pasting this link: https://macphun.evyy.net/mvgmq
