Description
During the Paleozoic Era's Devonian period, about 380 million years ago, Morocco's Sahara Desert was underwater. Fish, plants and other ancient marine animals thrived until climate conditions changed and that ocean became desert and mountains. Fossil remains of this prehistoric life were preserved in marble and limestone rocks, and some towns in that region of Morocco, like Erfoud, have factories that turn the fossilized rocks into beautiful pieces of decorative art and furniture. This image shows a small portion of a large slab of fossils embedded in polished marble and is awaiting further work.
I took this photo with a Fuji XT-2 camera and processed it in Luminar. If you like photo processing and the look of my photos, you can try Luminar through this link: https://macphun.evyy.net/mvgmq
