Description
A major highlight of my trip to Morocco was a visit to Erg Chebbi -- one of Morocco's several large seas of dunes formed by wind-blown sand. While the ergs are within an area of semi-arid Pre-Saharan Steppes, and not technically part of the Sahara desert which lies some distance to the south, it sure looked like how I had always imagined the Sahara Desert would look. I was surprised, though, to see areas and ridges of grass, that somehow found a way to survive the extreme drought in the region.

What a great shot! - Wonderful burst of color in the sand, leading lines that take you through the whole image and an interesting tuft of grass somehow surviving in the sand. Very well done Stuart!
