Description
Geometric and graphic design on a large wooden door on the grounds of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto, Japan. The Palace was the seat of Japanese government from the late 700's until the mid 1800's when the capital moved to Edo, whose name was then changed to Tokyo. The grounds contain buildings used for a variety of purposes as well as a beautiful garden.
