Description
Two litters of cubs were born by the African Lions at he National Zoo in Washington, DC, the first in January 2014 and second in March of that year. Judging by the size of all the cubs when I visited the zoo in August 2014, I'm guessing that the cubs in this picture were from the second litter, making them about 5 months old at that time. Whatever their exact age, it looks like mom is making a point with one of them.
