Inside one of the small, wooden, Orthodox churches in the Maramures region of Romania.
Maramures is known for its well-preserved wooden villages and churches and its traditional lifestyle. The churches are made of thick logs, some are small and dark inside and are painted with rather "naïve" Biblical scenes, mostly by local painters.
