This strikingly beautiful seascape comes alive with the roiling sea, the approaching storm clouds and the subdued coloration of the basaltic rock and extruded lava formations on the beach. This presentation, while not a B&W image, hits all the high notes as if it were one. The muted coloring of the sea, the basalt and the vegetation on the headland work to accent the otherwise monochromatic aspects of the image. With the color balance and tonality, one could be excused for mistaking this for a "colorized" image. There is a lot going on here, Stuart...very nice capture!
