A view of the skyline of the Riverside South neighborhood in New York City, taken from a promenade that extends out into the Hudson River.
Riverside South is an urban development project in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It sits on 57 acres of land along the Hudson River between 59th Street and 72nd Street, and was once the site of the New York Central Railroad yard. It is mostly residential, and includes Trump Place and Riverside Center.
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
