Description
It was still dark when I hiked out early in the morning to shoot the sunrise on the sand dunes at Erg Chebbi, one of Morocco's several large seas of dunes formed by wind-blown sand. Although too dark to be visible to the naked eye, the camera can capture beautiful colors in the hour before dawn, and the term "blue hour" for this time of day is certainly apt. Here, I was not the only one up so early, and the two people on the distant dune added welcome perspective to my photo.
