Description
I guess it says something about me that I really like this photo, even though many would think it's a little, all right, maybe a lot, disgusting. In any event, this tray of fresh, raw sardines for sale at a fish market in the medina of Meknes, Morocco, caught my eye.
Dating back to the 11th century, Meknes is one of the four Imperial cities of Morocco, and the sixth largest city in the country. While it's medina is somewhat small compared to those in some of Morocco's other cities, like Marrakesh and Fes, it has, nevertheless, been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its markets and streets provided great photo opportunities.

Sardines are the best! I eat them at least once a week. Power food! I only buy skinless and boneless, but I like this image!
