An abstract feel to some of the architectural details of the five-story pagoda of the Asakusa Shinto shrine, adjacent to the Sensoji Kannon Buddhist temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan, one of Tokyo's oldest and most significant temples. According to Wikipedia, the temple and shrine complex is the most widely visited spiritual site in the world with over 30 million visitors annually.

I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
