Description
The Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 made me look closer to home to enjoy photography, rather than my usual world travel. You can't get much closer to home than looking across the street. I live in downtown Washington, DC., and there is a large multi-use construction project occupying the entire block across from my apartment building. When completed, it will have over 200 apartments, ground floor retail, and even an art exhibit gallery. As I write this and add this photo to my website, concrete is still being poured for the upper floors, interior framing is underway and some windows are even started to be installed. For this photo, I held my camera over the fence around the construction site to get a clear view of what will eventually be part of the ground floor retail level.
