The Chimney Rock hiking trail is the most popular trail at the Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. Located just outside Abiquiu, about an hour drive from Santa Fe, the Ghost Ranch is a retreat and education center, but is probably most famous for being the home and inspiration for artist Georgie O'Keefe, and is where she painted many of her works of art. Mid-morning in October, the moon was still clear and visible in the bright blue sky.
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
