This is a picture of the cliffs and beach near the 12 Apostles rock formation on the Great Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The Twelve Apostles are limestone stack rock formations that are a popular attraction on the Great Ocean Road.

I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
