The Lake Louise Ski Resort is just outside the village of Lake Louise, in Banff National Park, Canada. There, you can take the Lake Louise Gondola to a landing high on the mountain and look across the valley to see beautiful Lake Louise, and the Chateau Lake Louise at foot of Mount Victoria. This black and white image of the lake contains just a hint of blue, suggesting the incredible blue color of the lake in real life.

I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
