Artist's Description
Located halfway between Lisbon and Porto, Portugal's two biggest cities, the fishing town of Nazare is famous for its beach and huge waves, which can sometimes reach 100 feet high, making it a popular surfing destination. The town is split into two parts, upper and lower town, with upper town on a high cliff above lower town and the beach. This is a view of the beach and lower town from a path that winds along the edge of the upper town cliff.
About Stuart Litoff
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
