The Jasper Skytram is the highest and longest aerial tramway located in Canada, going to a height of 7,472 ft above sea level and cresting The Whistlers Mountain. From the Skytram's upper base at The Whistlers' summit, you have an incredible of view of the Athabasca River Valley and beyond. This black and white photo shows Patricia Lake with Pyramid Lake behind it. In the middle of Pyramid Lake is Pyramid Island.
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
