Artist's Description
Years ago I was riding on a bus tour around the island of Barbados when I passed this quiet beach. As the bus drove by, I noticed two boys wading in the water, and that a few men were sleeping in the shade provided by the propped up boats, even as storm clouds loomed offshore. I stuck my camera out the window and snapped this shot just as the bus rounded a turn and the beach vanished from sight.
About Stuart Litoff
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
