Cliffs and cave dwellings framed by tall trees at Bandelier National Monument. Bandelier is United States National Monument in New Mexico preserving the homes and territory of the Ancestral Puebloans Native Americans in the Southwest. Hiking the Main Loop Trail in Frijoles Canyon you come upon the cliffs in which the ancestral Pueblo people lived.

I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
