Artist's Description
Located between Prescott and Flagstaff in Arizona, Jerome is a historic copper mining town that, after being virtually abandoned, was reborn as a tourist attraction of a bygone era of the American west. It is full of cool old buildings with great details, as well as some unique pieces of art that are easily seen just be strolling through town. The building housing the Jerome Artists Cooperative Gallery caught my eye and I liked the design of the sign in front of the window and window reflections in the weathered but clearly cared for building.
About Stuart Litoff
I guess I've had an off-and-on love affair with photography my whole life. My father was always taking pictures and movies when I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY in the 1950s-60s, and he gave me my own Kodak Brownie camera when I was around 6 years old. I remember using it to take pictures of family events and a trip to Washington DC, back in 1958. I still have some of the pictures ....... somewhere. Photography moved to the back burner during high school, college, and law school, but I picked it up again after I graduated law school in 1979, moved to Washington DC, and began my legal career with the federal government.
