Description
Chefchaouen is a popular and charming tourist destination in the Rif region of northern Morocco, not far from Tangier. Built into a mountainside and founded in the late 1400's by Moorish exiles from Spain, it is famous now for the blue paint on many of its buildings and walls. Walking through the old part of the city you find so many little streets and alleys that have beautiful colors and amazing textures. I especially liked this contrasting red painted door against all of the surrounding blue walls.
