Description
The dry summer of 2016 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, left the Potomac River's falls and rapids fairly shallow, and rocks and falls could be seen in areas typically covered by water. I took this black and white image at the Great Falls Overlook, which is at the end of the Olmsted Island Bridges Trail at the Chesapeake & Ohio National Park in Maryland, also known as the C&O Canal or Great Falls.
