Description
The dry summer of 2016 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, left the Potomac River's falls and rapids fairly calm and quiet, and still ponds could be seen in areas typically covered by water. I took this black and white, vertical picture of a pond from one of the bridges along the Olmsted Island Bridges Trail at the Chesapeake & Ohio National Park in Maryland, also known as Great Falls.
